Tiny Test Wave 01: First Hands-On With LeapVerse Labs

We're inviting a small group of Roblox devs into a "tiny test" to break the first LeapVerse labs and in-Studio plugin, so we can lock in how lessons, labs, and UI work before we scale up.

We're about to run our first tiny test for LeapVerse.

A small group of Roblox devs will get early access to the first batch of labs and the in-Studio plugin so we can see what actually works, what's confusing, and what completely breaks.

This isn't a polished launch. It's a controlled chaos test so we can ship something solid later.

What's in this tiny test?

For Wave 01, testers will get:

  • Focused hands-on labs – short, scoped exercises that walk you through building real systems instead of another "watch and copy" tutorial
  • The LeapVerse in-Studio plugin – labs show up directly inside Roblox Studio so you can read the step, write the code, and validate without tabbing around the internet
  • Early UX for labs & lessons – how you start a lab, see requirements, track progress, and jump between steps

The goal is simple:
move devs from "10 half-watched tutorials" to "I shipped a working system" as fast as possible.

What we're trying to learn

This tiny test is mainly about ironing out the core system, not flexing features.

Specifically, we want to validate:

  • Lab flow – does the step-by-step structure actually help you finish, or do you get stuck/lost?
  • Lesson creation model – is our format flexible enough for different topics (scripting, building, VFX, etc.) without becoming a mess?
  • Web app ↔ plugin handshake – does it feel smooth going from LeapVerse.dev → Roblox Studio → back again?
  • UI clarity – can you tell what to do next at any point, both on the web app and inside the plugin?

If something feels slow, confusing, or annoying, that's exactly what we want to know in this wave.

Who's in Wave 01?

Wave 01 is a small, invite-only group pulled from:

  • Early people watching the roadmap
  • Devs who've already raised their hand for early access
  • A few friends of LeapVerse who are willing to be brutally honest

We're keeping it tiny on purpose so we can iterate fast without worrying about scale yet.

If you want a shot at future waves, make sure you're on the roadmap + waitlist:

How testers will give feedback

During this tiny test, we'll be asking testers to:

  • Run through specific labs from start to finish
  • Note where they got stuck or confused
  • Call out any bugs in the plugin or web app
  • Suggest labs or systems they'd love to see next

If you're in the Discord, you'll be able to drop thoughts directly into #suggestions so we can react in real time.

What's next

After Tiny Test Wave 01 we'll:

  • Fix the biggest UX issues we uncover
  • Tighten up how labs and lessons are structured
  • Polish the plugin flow so it feels like part of your normal Studio workflow
  • Plan Wave 02 with more devs and more labs (combat, simulators, systems, etc.)

This is the first real step from "idea on a roadmap" to "tool you can actually ship with."
If you want to help shape that, hop on the waitlist and stick around for the next wave.
